If there is anyone going through grief or hard times you aren’t alone. Grief is not something that you can just get over or poof it’s gone. It’s harder and takes a lot more time to heal. Trauma doesn’t just affect your mind. It also affects your body. It takes time to get through certain things and some types of healing need

more than just time. Sometimes therapy can help you rearrange your thoughts and understand what is normal and what isn’t. I’ve often been asked if therapy is good for Christians or if somehow it means we don’t love or trust God. Here’s my answer. Therapy isn’t my God. No one can replace God or my relationship with him. Therapy is just a tool. It’s like community. It’s a person or a group that want to make you a better human mentally and spiritually. It’s like going to the doctor when your body is hurting and you need help physically. No one questions your relationship with God when you want to heal your body and no one should question your relationship with God when you want to heal your mind. Trauma is an injury that no one can see. Give yourself time to process and heal the things inside that no one sees. When you feel yourself struggling, call out to God, even with the tears, pray to him — heck even scream. Communication is key in any relationship and your relationship with God is the most important one. So talk to him. Just because you’re struggling doesn’t mean you’re a bad Christian.

It simply means you are human. And all of us humans live in a broken world. We need Jesus whether we like to say it or not. God is merciful and full of grace for us. All you have to do is ask. Sometimes he makes us go through things to build our testimony. Your testimony is your story so don’t be afraid to share it. You never know what God can do through you! Written with mucho love.
