Runaway love

You almost had her

You had her in your hands but let her leave

Slip through the cracks , run in chaos

You told everyone about her

Wanted a future, how you loved her and wanted to love her more yet she had no clue

Your words were like dissipated breath just like your actions

Gloves ready to work but never actually got dirt on them

You did all the talk but never actually put in the work

You were telling everyone what you wanted with her yet she should’ve been the first to known

Now she will never really know

That’s ok though she dodge a bullet.

She needs a man who can talk to her and stand up for her

A man who is honest and doesn’t change the story every time he talks

A man who she doesn’t have to beg to even have a chat on a daily with

A man who will want to see her and value her worth not like you but so much better because she knows she’s rare

She doesn’t need a man to verify her worth but carry it with love

To give her the respect she deserves not what she asks of

You lost your chance and can never get it back

You lost a diamond and you can't repay anyone

You should regret it because you lost

She won, she may have lost a few tears

She got the gold and you got the coal.
